 The fields will open on March 10. We will have open pickup and registration games on March 10 and March 17. The season will begin on April 7.
There are three divisions for this season. Division A will play 11 vs. 11 on a full field. The fee to play is $800 per team. Chris Meyers will lead the division. Division B will play 8 vs. 8 as usual. The membership fee will be $40 per player and Will Woolford will lead the division. We will not have a coed league on Wednesdays this season. We will field a women’s league instead. The membership fee will be $40 per player. We will schedule a 10 week season for all divisions. We may have playoffs if time allows.
Key Dates:
DST starts on March 10.
Pickups and registration on March 10/17
(Division A team fees due NLT March 22!!!)
Scrimmages upon request on March 24
Easter Sunday is on March 31 – no games
Season begins on April 7
Women’s games begin on April 10 (Wed.)
No games on May 12 – Mothers Day
No games on May 26 – Memorial Day weekend
June 16 – Fathers Day – will be used for rain make ups, if necessary
Season ends June 30
Field close July 1 for the summer

| Southern Maryland Women’s Outdoor Soccer |
St Mary’s COED Soccer League is now accepting registrations for the Fall 2012 Women’s Division. The games will begin at 6:30 and 8:00. The season is in session from Wednesday, October 3 to Wednesday, November 14.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY and beginners are highly encouraged to join. Games are played on a smaller than regulation field with eight players on each side. The registration fee is $20 per player. All games are played on Wednesday nights at Chancellors Run Regional Park.

Joseph Kirk Nguyen, 44, of Lusby, MD died on 31 March 2012, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Born on 6 June 1967, “Joe” was the youngest son of the late Chuc Nguyen and Hoa Truong.
An avid soccer enthusiast, Joe enjoyed playing soccer since Middle School and throughout his adult life. His life’s priorities were: God, Country, Family and Soccer. The sportsmanship and the rules of the games were his passion. He served as referee, coach, and parent in the Calvert Soccer Association and the St. Mary’s Youth Soccer since 2005.
He was a loving husband, and a devoted father to his two daughters. In addition to his wife Pamela, he is survived by his son Joseph Edward Kirk Nguyen and his daughters Sydney Renea and McKenzie “Cierra”
In memory of Joe, and in order to help those survived by him, we are running a charity soccer tournament, the Joe Nguyen Memorial Soccer Tourney. All money raised will go to Joe's family, including his wife, son, and two daughters to help them through this rough time.
This tournament will be for children (ages 9 and older) and adults alike. The age groups are as follows: U-11, U-13, U-15, U-18, and Adults. There will be two divisions for the Adult Division, a Competitive Division and a Recreational Division. Players may play up in age groups, but no team can include a player playing down age groups.
Every team is guaranteed three games. Depending on number of teams, the tournament may be held on both Saturday and Sunday. The cutoff for registration is June 25th and only letters postmarked on or before June 25th will be accepted. Schedules will then be emailed to team contacts by July 8th.
